Shop Owner, Barry Misener started Bicycles Plus back in 1993 and his passion for the sport and business still burns deeply. He has a love for the road side of cycling with a history of triathlon in his earlier days. The bike of the year for 2009 will be the TCR Advanced 1. Full carbon Advanced frame with Ultegra components. At the selling price, it's a steal. Barry also enjoys running in the off season and spending time with his family when his work schedule is not consuming him. Favorite food is pizza, and his post ride refreshment, Garrison IPA. Is there really anything else?

Jeanne has been one of the top female cyclists in the Maritimes for the past four years and just a wonderful person to have around helping us out for 2009. Jeannes favorite post ride refreshment is still coffee. Post ride, Jeanne enjoys almost anything, but her favorites include Thai, and or sushi. Besides biking, Jeanne can be found hiking, XC skiing and snow shoeing, sometimes with her dog. When asked about how save the planet, Jeanne says we have to encourage healthy lifestyles by assisting folks to do as much as they are capable of. Her pick of the year? Definitely the TCR Alliance W. The best part of working at the Bikes Plus? You get to be around the bling.

Dave Murphy is a guy with a natural mechanical mind. Continuing to study engineering at Dal next year, Dave enjoys figuring out how things work and making them work better. Daves' pick for 09 is the TCR Advanced 1, great minds think alike Dave.. After a tortuous ride, Dave enjoys chicken and pasta apres ride and washes down with Rickards white. Great bike taste, beer taste, debatable?? Dave enjoys running, hiking and camping besides riding his bike. Bicycles Plus is a good place to work because it's close to home and my co workers are just simply the best to work with.

Adam is now entering his third year at Bikes Plus and during his tenure, he's learned quickly, and worked very hard to become a key contributor to the shops success. Adam feels bikes can save the planet and thinks the 2009 FCR is the bike that can really help. His favorite food is anything that will go down easy and stay down. H2O is his choice for hydration, and in his free time he likes to camp. "No need for a tent, the stars are awesome" says Adam. He also has interest in anything to do with the outdoors, and Fitnessbydesign in Burnside. Adam enjoys working at the shop because it allows him to put awesome bikes into our customers hands.

Brett is the newest face on the Bicycles Plus team and has been busy learning the ropes from all the old pros that reside at the Ten Mile House. Brett enjoys H2O like Adam, and suishi just like Jeanne after a long ride. Brett thinks bikes can save the planet by replacing automobiles with really sweet rides. His pick for 2009? The Reign 1, which offers lots of big hit bang for your buck. When Bretts not working, he enjoys running, swimming and snowboarding. The best part of working at Bikes Plus is being in an environment where everybody loves the same sport as you. Plus you don't have to flip burgers, wash any dishes, or take drive thru orders.

Andrew Martin is working on season number 2 at Bikes Plus. A big bike enthusiast, Andrew is a go to guy who loves talking and playing with gravity bikes. He enjoys a tall cool glass of H2O and a greasy pizza after a monumental ride. Other outdoor interets? "What else is there to do other than ride" says Andrew. Andrew thinks both the Seek and FCR bikes will save the planet. Andrew likes to play with photography, his car, and pssst...driving really fast. Andrew has picked the TCR Advanced 0 as the bike for 09. I'm a die hard MTB'er but this bike makes me want a road bike. Now your talking sense Andrew. Best part of working at the shop, awesome people!!

Former shop Manager, Geoff Murray is truly a person with a love for cycling. Geoff rides a TCR Advanced road bike and a Trance X custom rig off road. Geoff believes we need more bikes that are cool and applicable. Ride a Seek or FCR to work and save the planet. Geoffs' pick for 09 is the Giant Trance X series. You may find Geo on his days off chilling out at Finbars enjoying an order of sweet fried potatoes and a Garrison Red. Geoff enjoys hiking, drinking red wine in excessive volumes, and BBQing. He finds the main benefit to working at the shop is that it adds to his allure.
