OK, ladies, it's your turn to step up to the plate. I've staged two classes of roadie mechanics to date, all guys, all slow learners, and I know I'm telling you ladies nothing you didn't already know.
So I'm really looking forward to dealing with an intelligent group of fast learners, of which all ladies are, us men know it, we just don't like to admit it.
We'll teach you what to look for to be sure your bike is safe to ride. We'll discuss cleaning and lubing your bike, tool selection that will turn you into a pro, get you to change a flat, adjust your brakes, and off course everybodys favourite, the bikes' shifting.
If you have a road bike, yes one of those with skinny tires and those funny bars on it, you may want to sign up for the "Ladies Only" roadie mechanics course. The cost of the course is $35 plus HST, (Horrible Sales Tax) and is limited to four future bike mechanics per course. No hiding in the back, no sleeping, this course is hands on. Plan on getting a bit dirty and learning a thing or two. Sunday, March 8, from noon till four. Hope to see you there!
