Last week was a real blast with Kadiri spending the week with me getting ready for our Summer Slam Event.

The ride went off without a hitch, as the rain held off. Kadiri and I were keep in check through Fall River by the watchful and encouraging eyes of Cynthia and Charles. Thanks guys, your coaching turned Kadiri into a machine by the halfway point in the ride. It was a ride I won't forget any time soon.

Then the buying frenzy took hold as our regular customers took advantage of low, low shop prices. Then the wave hit the burger stand as I flipped up a frenzy and showed off one of my other talents, burning meat.

Kadiri got the B Ball shooting going and we raised a fair chunk of change for Street Connections along with our coffee sales. The day was a bunch of fun and a total success.

Next year, it will be bigger and better, mark my words.

Due to our last minute announcement and the long weekend, the crowd was not as large as we had hoped, but a very appreciative one indeed it was.

Kadiri talked to the children in a group and one on one environment, getting the most out of the children and giving back wherever he could.

Kadiris' evening included discussion on topics such as respect, preparation, goals, dreams, inspiration, and other life principles that have played an important part in his life.

When the evening was winding down, Kadiri mugged it up for a photo shoot with the group, autographed his personal player cards, and then unveiled a special treat.

Everyone was invited out to his Red Mustang, where each child got to sit behind the wheel, rev the engine and get their photo taken again while smiling from ear to ear.

Thanks Kadiri for making the night a special one for all who attended.

I'm riding home and the car sounds like a Nascar, and is low to the ground. It may not be a 1600 mile worthy car to you, but to me it's like music playing with a slight breeze blowing in my ears. If you came down and drove up to Nova Scotia with me, we could take on bike shops and all my friends in two on two competitions and bike races up and down the East Coast. I'll be leaving for Nova Scotia tomorrow at 2:07 pm. See you soon!

Just getting ready to hit the road and thought I'd call. See you soon. I'm now 23 miles outside Columbia, in Camden, S.C. I spent $5.23 at McDonalds on a quarterpounder with cheese, no pickles or onions, add mayo...upsize with a Coke. Speed is currently 130 to 135 km/hr with occasional gusts to 140...lol... I'm staying in Fayetteville, N.C. and leaving early in the a.m. I'll keep you updated.

Good Morning Nova Scotia! I'm near the Virginia border, just 50 miles to go. Looks like Saturday, maybe Sunday for an ETA. Just left my old college, Virginia Union. I was there for an hour or so of fellowship. Stay tuned for updates....

Good Morning! Heading to New York.. Heading to McDonalds for lunch, 8 million and counting in the lineup. Drove till 9:30 and called it a day. It's getting cold up here, heater on, top of the Mustang now up...

This will be my last post before I see you... Saw my first Tim Hortons, so I know I'm getting close. Should see Nova Scotia late this evening. It's been quite a drive...

No event is complete without some great music and at our End of Summer Slam, we had it.

Richard Wile, of Bedford, played a wide variety of music crossing many different styles and generations.

So impressed by his music we were, we've already got him lined up for our 2009 Customer Appreciation Night.

Thanks for helping out Richard, and also a special thanks goes out to Richards' Dad, who helped pull everything together for the afternoon.

One of the incentives we offered to encourage folks to try our "Shoot The Lights out Competition," was an opportunity for all participants to qualify for a $200 shop gift certificate.

Thanks again to all who played to win, and in the spirit of things, helped us raise some funds for Street Connections.

The winner has been drawn and will be announced upon our return from the bike show next week.

You'll hear who the big winner was right here,so stay tuned.

The K Factor blend is coffee for those of us who have been searching for absolutely monstrous athleticism. It's coffee for those of us who have the desire to be super cool under pressure and dominate our sport.
