Any fan who took in a Rainmen game or visited their web site last year recognizes the above photo. The players name is Kadiri Richard and he was the "public face " of the Rainmen team last year. Early in the season Kadiri became a fan favourite due to his game breaking defensive blocks, his team first attitude, and his work within the public school system, and out reaching to the youth of Metro Halifax.

Along with being one, if not the most popular player on the team last year, Kadiri Richard also managed to contribute greatly to the teams success on the floor. He led the team in field goal percentage, and the entire ABA league in blocked shots. Although his team role was to be a defensive specialist, when he got the chance, he brought the crowd to its feet with some awesome slams. The Rainmen management are busy working hard to assemble a top quality team for the up coming 08/09 season. They are hoping to fill the Metro Centre with happy paying customers like you and me. So as customers, we are very pleased that they have provided us with a feedback mechanism that allows us to vote for the players we want to see in a Rainmen uniform this season. That feedback mechanism is an on line fan poll found right now on the new Rainmen site.

As of yet, Kadiri remains unsigned, even though the fan poll and a popular Rainmen fan blog, SECTION 23 suggests that Rainmen fans feel this should be a high priority for the club.
